Anoushka Mittal graduated from American University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During that time, she was involved with multiple non-profit organizations including Nourish International, a social movement organization dedicated to promoting philanthropic ventures, community service as well as international development. With Nourish, she spent 6 weeks in the village of Jesus Maria, Peru, where she was part of a group that aided the local community in building a community center as well as upgrading their irrigation system. She was also involved in fundraising for a local non-profit organization, One Common Unity, that works with students from inner city Washington D.C. to break cycles of violence and build compassionate and healthy communities through music, arts and peace education.
Anoushka then went onto work in Healthcare Administration in various settings such as private practices and hospitals. As part of her training, she assisted those with health issues find mental health services to aid with their recovery. She has always loved children and enjoys working with them in different capacities such as homeschooling during the pandemic, child care for special needs children, as well as teaching in a classroom setting at a preschool.
Anoushka is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University, Brooklyn. She aims to work with children, adolescents and their families, giving them the tools they need to understand themselves and their environment.
